I am presently working on a small house mod for a very good friend of mine, Black Hand - an assassin in the Morag Tong from Waiting4Oblivion.com
His mod is titled "The Writ O' The Black Hand" and features a hidden mushroom cave/house outside of Vivec, ENEast of the SiltStrider. It is not the usual Telvanni mushroom house, but rather an Emperor Mushroom retextured and turned into the hidden in plain site top of his Cave O' the Black Hand. Inside the mushroom head is an entrance salon, steps run down inside the mushroom stem and open into 2 spacious cave rooms, where he hides his belongings and loot. Including a unique BlackHand storage chest, a writ chest and a gem chest. In these he stores unique weaponry and armor, unique clothing and other individualized items. This is a W.I.P. but should soon be finished and may be uploadable by email after approval by The Black Hand himself.

That smells really interesting ibis; this new housemod seems to have some interesting new features even if there are already some other underground mansions and even if there are already other housing mods placed near the Vivec silt stider (for example, the poular "Abandoned Flat" by GhostWhoWalks); placing this "mushroom cell" underground will avoid many conflicts with the other houses, so this is a good start indeed. Then please tells us more: more details, even some links to WIP pictures if you have them, we are really interested in your project!

Thank you Osiris, you are a more than kink hostess. And thank you for moving my post to the proper place. Well, let's see ... I don't have any screenies yet because none of the rooms have the furniture totally placed in them yet. I have all built but am still furnishing and arranging things. There are really a total of 4 rooms now ... all in cave style, a front living room that is reached through a rope ladder in the mushroom stem, a back bedroom and then off to the side is a large walk-through pantry closet behind which is a steam powered kitchen. To the left through a door in the kitchen is a small bathroom that has a working toilet (no lie, the water level goes up and down to barrrooosh sound), a urinal and a shower that also works and restores attribute points when you use it. There is also a sink that will yeild you a pearl if you treat it nicely. lol The bedroom is where Black Hand will keep his important chests and there is a round wall mirror that is actually a container for his more important weapons, kinda like a mirrored hallway closet, but don't tell anyone because Black Hand wants that kept secret. That's about it so far, I haven't done much about the salon in the mushroom cap yet ... although I am thinking of making it the relaxing place for Black Hand. I can tell you that there is a skooma hookah there .. lol & I was thinking of putting in a girl companion for him up there ... but am not sure about that yet. If I do she will be dressed very casually like in the gypsy outfit or some of Korana's beautiful clothing. Help me decide on this, k? Should I surprise Black Hand with a beautiful companion? I designed the signature for Black Hand at Chorrol.com aka Waiting4Oblivion, and he is writing a FanFiction story for me in thanks ... so then I got the idea also of creating this mod for him in thanks for the FanFic. I can show you a pic of his Siggy I designed, it is HERE and will be in the mod probably at the bottom of Morag Tong documents written by Black Hand. Thanks for your interest!

Thank to YOU, ibis! For writyng here and for the interesting informations about your housemod...
There are really only a few cavehouses released around here, so a new one will be interesting for sure: especially if you build it large, with many beautiful furniture and some peculiar lights, it could be a very nice mod. I especially like the idea of the working bathroom very much: i saw something similar in Shezrie's Gard Castle and it was really fun, with some changes and improvements (e. g., new scripts) it will be a nice feature of your house, for sure.
Please add a Bath tube! Korana has some really beautiful in her "Provincial Bath Shoppe", and Dongle designed a nice one too, providing for it the proper water pack (meshes + textures); but maybe you can try to design a new one, since your abode is in a cave! And then release it as a modder resource... Other custom extra features you can release as a resource too; that's my idea, if you like to do textures and / or meshes, or both.
And yes i like the idea of the female companio too... And of course also the signature you designed. Good job.
Go ahead, keep us informed and don't be afraid to ask for suggestions if you will need them!

What wonderful advice and information about the bathtub, Osiris. I will certainly add one then! I am going off right now to Korana's and Dongle's to check that out. I will let you know. Hopefully with some screenshots soon...

Ok ibis: i will look forward, sure to have interesting news from you! Here's the complete list of Dongle's mods & resources (well, especially resources of course!): Clicky Have a look at them, there's also a lot of beautiful stuff that you can use in your mods. An hint: i've recently played Korana's Xenterra Keep and found it amazing, so... I think it's an excellent base of inspiration for making great housing mods! Her first "Wolverine Well House" was smaller but nice too; it's in a cave, and it has a natural swimming pool, so it would be good to have a look at it too.

Hello Osiris, I'm back again. So sorry to be gone for so long ... I am recovering from a huge computer crash (we are subject to freakish lightning and brownouts here in Florida.) I had to replace a hard drive, video card and headphones. Lucky I wasn't hooked by headphones during the crash.
Anyways, I lost all my old work except pictures at DeviantArt and Photobucket but lucky for me, I have running series of mods - including Black Hand's Cave - to refer back to how to construct them. * A hint for any modder who wants to preserve your stuff through system changes...also loading stuff up to email or of course burning to disk is best but my CD burner won't work with win2k.
So anyway ... I'll build the mod again. And thank you for the birthday message at Rethan Manor, Osiris. ;D
