How do you roleplay Morrowind?
Already during the early years of my Morrowind adventures, I discovered that there were really a lot of ways to give to have a pure roleplay experience; and i'm not talking about playing mods here (though some mods helps very well sometimes), but about what made my roleplay better.
For example, i roleplay with moneys: why always carry a lot of 'golden pieces' (or 'Drakes', or however you call them), if my character can leave them as an offer to shrines or give them as a gift to paupers, leave as a tip in inns, or abandom them in random container forgotten somewhere in the depths of the sea? As I said, That is just an example, but i think it's a good approach.
What about you?

It depends, and I will try babeling about it without ranting on for ages...
First of all, whatever character you are playing needs a developed background and personality...A great way to get just that, is pretty much obsessing with a character for a long time, using him or her in forum RP's, fan fiction and so on...As a result of this, you will probably get much better insight into the mindset of your character...Like I did with Rogus =P
Secondly; You need some sort of "plan" give your character a reason for wandering, questing and so on...And for Vehks sake, stick to 1-3 factions at a time.
Thirdly; Despite what you may think as a result of reading forums, giving your character weird quirks is not going to get you anywhere....Really, putting a pair of expensive shoes ontop of all golden saint corpses you find as a token of madness to Sheogorath is just lame, not a good RP idea....Though leaving things like offering at shrines and so on could be cool....
Of course this is just scratching the surface >_<

As others have said in similar discussions, I make rules for my character and set up what she would do and what she won't do. If for some reason she ends up doing something that she "won't do" I endeavor to come up with a very good reason for why she did something out of character.
For example, Aeronwen is not a thief and she doesn't like going into tombs...but then I downloaded the PJM bowsets. One was hidden in a tomb..Hmmmm
I happened to have the CM_Minor Quests mod which offers the PC short term "jobs". One of which was "ghosting" and involved going into tombs to get rid of ghosts and collect their ectoplasm.
In the early days when Aeronwen was desperate for money in order to feed herself, she took whatever work she could get...and hence entered the tomb where one of the bows could be found. I then worked into her story that the bows from this set orginally belonged to her family and were stolen years ago so she was "taking back" what was hers in the first place.
So yes, she slightly bends her rules occasionally but doesn't always feel good about it.
