What do you usually prefer to run, a bunch of micro - .esps or just a few of massive (and popular, and huge) mods? Or both? The first time i played Morrowind, i remember, i've simply played every kind of mods... And alas that's why it screwed up. *sighs* I was so curious about house mods, that i loaded every single one - room type thingy and every single "copied - and - pasted - from Caius Cosades' house" plug - in. And a bit of various other tweaks. Hum, not... Many. Then, for me, both micro and uber .esps 'til some time ago. Maybe not now... But as usual i will reveal my tastes only when some replies will poppin' up, lazy guys. Then you? What do you prefer to run?

I like to run a little bit of everything. It's not the size, but the content of the mod that determines whether or not I use it.
However, I will say that I do take a bunch of small mods and merge them together to save on space.

As a large mod I have run a scenery enhancer mod .. forget teh exact one. I prefer alot of smaller mods, my own and others run together... or certain groups at certain times.

No real big mods here, aside from a long itme ago when I had The Underground loaded. That certainly qualifies as big!
It was frustrating, too, since at times in some areas of The Underground I'd get CTD when nothing like that would happen anywhere else in Morrowind without that big mod loaded. I had a special INI file just for The Underground that would only load that mod plus Better Bodies and one or two other harmless mods, like my Home mod and the Vvardenfel Travel Agency mod. But The Underground was such a fabulous adventure that I endured the CTD's and SOMEhow managed to work my way around them to finish the adventure.
Nowadays I do have Lokken Mountain loaded -- that's a must-have! I also have Balmora Extended, though if I ever reloaded MW I'm not sure I'd put BE back on the machine. I also have Water Life loaded -- nice enhancement. Also BitterCoast sounds, Firemoth, Children of MW, Rings of Level Playing, the Vibrant Morrowind texture replacer, Home 4.1, Domehome. Also a couple tiny ancient mods, one which makes cliffracers peaceful and another that makes slaughterfish peaceful.

Yeah, more than the size of the mod or the number, I just load the mods that make the world what I want when playing. Some mods like BB, head replacers, book rotate, shield placers, better signposts and stuff just make the overall game better. Others like homes and clothing mods make my world, my own world. And the the big mods that expand the world and give it so much more to do, make MW a never ending adventure. Lokken is a must for me (not only for the quest but for the companions and the land (and a storyline that I love to continue to travel)). Black Mill is interesting but a bit more disjointed than the smooth level of Lokken. Other mods like Glory Road, Horrors, Underground, I have yet played.
Aside from the mods, the ES lore gives the entire world and history a feeling of depth.
By using the mods and making your own world, it makes MW a game far beyond that of the original at least for me.
