That's a nice mod someone is currently translating in French in Wiwiland. I highly hope Peter NL will provide a sheath (or sort of) for every weapon in the game, including two-handed unique swords (last time I checked, there was still nothing for the Ice Blade of the Monarch, the only sword I'm using).

Or maybe this mod has a small quest attached, with some new dialogue or such? I still haven't tested it. However, i hope he will provide sheats for every weapon in game too; and i'm quite sure he will do that, since now seems the time for some interesting Oblivion - looking mods to show up in Morrowind: that's a good idea... Then Oblivion seems not useless, it's bringing new life to his brother Morrowind!

For what I've seen on my OV of Morrowind, there's no quest in those .esp. As I haven't run that mod through the TESCS, I don't exactly know what has to be translated, but I guess that if the weapons were modified through that mod (adding a script, for instance, or getting new meshes), their names may have changed. That means the translator has to re-translate all the weapons' names in French, so that your épée longue en acier isn't suddenly called iron longsword. This isn't of course a translation as complex as the one of a mod of quests, with dialogs, messageboxes and so on...

Correct Not Quide Dead! English don't fits very well with a french game, yeah. However, i run a lot of english mods and only sometimes they translate back to english the ingame items...
For example, i run "Herbalism for Purists" by Syclonix, who allows you to gather herbs instead of "open" their "container", and it adds a lot of new features to the game, but their names are still in italian; and also some good new meshes / textures replacer by Oriphier, but the weapon's name is still in italian.
What i suggest you is to try the mod without save the game, looking if it translate something. And if you want to make some minor translation by yourself: load the mod in the editor, look in the proper window (object, or weapons, or armor...) if something has been translated, double click on it; Change is name in the window that pop - up, click save in the window, click save again in the editor.
Clean again the mod with TESAME (since with clicking on "save", it get again all the evil GMSTs).
But remember: be careful in translating mod who change the name objects for some scripting or gameplay reason, since the mod shouldn't work if you change the name of the objects it use (i.e., their names are used by a script).
And for every doubt, just ask!

Thank you for those precious pieces of advice, Osiris. I feel now a little ashamed not to have pointed out before, that when I said I actually meant someone else. So far, I haven't translated any mod into French for Morrowind (having mostly played with the OV of Morrowind and modding for now in English). I know the wiwilandais translators use a tool called "Camembérisateur" in order to translateautomatically most of cell names and other things of that kind from English into French, but I haven't ever used it.

... And i've found a tool who translate from french to english (useful for all the french modders), look at my last post here. So now, if you're planning to mod something for a release, you know where to click!
