Enchanting, as we all know, is one of the most expensive tools at your disposal. Give your weapons extra usefulness or potency, with an enchantment that casts on strike. If you're lucky enough to get your hands on the soul of an Ascended Sleeper or Golden Saint, you can make a Constant Effect enchantment. Carry more stuff with a Feather enchantment, eschew armour by replacing it with a Shield enchantment, dodge hits with Sanctuary.
Personally, I have two weapons, a Daedric war axe enchanted with Absorb Health, and a Daedric Tanto enchanted with Soul Trap. Quick-keyed, I can trap their souls with one and quickly switch to dispatch my foes with the other.
It's a good thing Soul Trapping is so easy, because I have to constantly replenish my axe, with a little help from Azura('s star).

hmmm... i gotta host of enchanted armor and weapons but dont use most of them...i only really use my onehanded daedric claymore (i know that sounds like an oxymoron) with damage health 25...i didnt do absorb health cause i didnt have that effect when i made it and im lvl 68 or 69 right now...i dont really need to worry about dying....
and i use wraithguard all the time...and i made a complimentory pauldron that gives enhanced magic abilities but gives you stunted mana and makes you very vulnerable to normal weapons
other than that i am allways changing my outfits and armor and other stuff i carry

I'm a strange player, i've played a battlemage (then a PC versed more in magic than in combat), but i've used to enchant weapons only a few time... They were weapons from a mod, then i liked my experiments 'cos their originality, but... Acc! how many times i failed before have an enchantment who makes sense!
No, i don't mean "when you don't have the skills to enchant something"; i made this weapons when my skill raise the value 100; my first enchantments were really odd... For example, i made a sword who produced damage on myself too, or an explosion who can hit companions too, eh eh... What a noob i was! ;D
That's what happened when you use to study the combat sciences more than the sciences of the "hidden side".

A little hint about enchanting (already known by most of you, I guess): when you enchant an item with a constant effect, you can enchant it with something like... let's say light 1-35 and put and remove the item until its effect is >= 30 (and then never remove it again, unless you want to put and remove it a lot of time ;D). It will act as a constant light 30 (or superior) but will cost less in enchantment points and in money than a constant light 30-30 (or superior) would have cost. That's rather useful, because the enchanting limit of most items is rather low.

when i play a warrior, i have to pay someone to enchant my stuff, I'll buy the soul gems from Goldebir and have her enchant a weapon with soultrap. Then i purchase the summon golden saint spell, which i can't possibly cast, and pay to have an amulet or ring enchanted with it. Then when I'm finally lucky enough to find a grand soul gem, i'll make constant effect rings of various useful spells when i save enough money.

I know where you can "find" a dwemer-axe with soultrap-spell. ;D Ok... you have to sneak and be able to open a 90-lock - and then it's yours. And you can buy scrolls with "summon golden saint" in the Caldera mages guild.

i am really strange when it comes to enchanting. Most of my characters have been awsome and powerful battlemages...but i never used the skill enchant once.
Now the few theif/warrior ones that i have made they always enchant weapons and armor. odd huh?
