The Exiles
A village of wonder, they all were thought dead; But some had escaped, to the East, they had fled. A war there was raging, they fought, many died; They went to the north, to confront the dread tide.
A cult they found there, and join them they must; They’d conquer the world, or return to the dust. They murdered and maimed, whole nations they took; In the name of their master, they burned every book;
Then turned on their master, and left him they tried, But not before one, was injured and died. Redemption they sought for the deeds they had done; But no one would hear them, they had killed a king’s son.
They begged for forgiveness, he wanted them killed; They fought for their lives, royal blood there was spilled. They left for the South, a friend to convert, To conquer dread cult, and bring peace from the hurt.
But a doubt still they had ‘bout the wrong and the right; If they turned on their friends, gain their power they might. They did evil again to gain what they lost And through all they had done, ignored the dear cost
Repent they did not, they returned to their wood To slaughter and steal anything that they could. An Evil arose and consumed all the land, They followed this path, and they soon were condemned.
