When I was playing MW, I took thousands of screenshots and learned to tweak (ie. brighten) them in an editor. I first posted them at Denina's forum (thanks Lady D) where I was encouraged to post at POTD at Planet Elderscrolls. (PES)
Lately, now that my computer has been down, I've been unable to play MW and looking through my old screenies reminds me of the many happy hours I spent questing with trusty companions in Vvardenfell. ~m
ps. Please share your links to your own POTDs here, of course. ;D

Thank you very much for sharing Meadowfae, these are really excellents! and the colours so beautiful! My preferred one is "Sunset on the Bitter Coast"; it's a photoshopped picture, right? Never had such a nice sunset tweaking up screenshots with just a freeware editor... "Reading is FUNdamental" (taken in Quatloos' Cragonmoore) is good as well, i just can't spot where the "reading" is! Come on guys, sign up at POTD and rate Meadowfae's pics! And please share your POTD links here as well.

I agree, Osiris. "Sunset" got the most 10 votes - 7 so far. Btw, have you voted yet? *hint hint... For this pic, I did use a freeware editor - Picasa by Google. Don't know how to do Photoshop yet. What made it more beautiful, imo, is Vibrant MW, Drac's trees and the treehouse mods. Picasa is the icing on the cake. Speaking of which, it's time for a midnight snack. Busy time. Take care. ~m

Btw, have you voted yet? *hint hint... I have voted now! I must to get Picasa, even if i often use Photoshop for pretty much everything. So Drac made trees models as well?

Tlhanks much Osiris - Sunset on the Bitter Coast is now in the top ten at POTD. Yes, Drac did do tree mods - among others. You can check them (and other goodies) out here: freett.com/varvarvar/mod/Downloads-ScreenShots.htm#DracusI'll be back in a few days - very busy in RL but it's all good. No word on the art yet. cheers, ~m

Ok Meadowfae, I think we have a different game here. I look at my MW and your MW and wonder if I got the "dud" one. Your images are beautiful, especially the sunset. That sunset is amazing. I have seen some nice images from my MW game as well but that sunset is a stunner. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Whoa...it seems like eons since I've posted here. It's good to be back but RL intensity is off the charts (new projects, new students, family events, etc) So I only have time for a short post. Thanks Nostra for your kind words. Glad you like this sunset pic. Yeah, my game is highly modded now and so I'm quite happy with the graphics. Even vanilla MW skies were pretty amazing. Vibrant Morrowind totally transforms the gameworld - so if you like bleak and dreary (ie. 'dark) you don't want this mod. But for a meadowfae, it's perfect. Even so, I usually do tweak screenshots with Picasa to brighten and intensify the colors. Btw, thanks Nostra for the 'how to build your own pc' info - that is an awesome set of posts and now that my printer's up and running, I plan to print it out for my gamer son, who may want to build his own screamer one of these days. ;-) Well, finally got my XP reinstalled/repaired - YAY! MW files are intact - double Yay! Only problem now is I have no sound. Reinstalled the vendor's Soundblaster Drivers - but it still isn't happening. Any help with that prob will be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a great day! ~m

Welcome back Meadowfae! Glad to have you here again, and of course feel free to keep on linking to your POTD creations: i don't know if i will link here to my submissions at PES, since all of my stuff is obviously already posted as a full picture here (but of course, i would be very happy if other guys here will join POTD and do link to their stuff...) I had a look at Drac's website, i already have some things and everything looks amazing (just a thought, why we need to install the Japanese??? Grrr)... but ... i'm wondering... Maybe that Drac and Dracus Dragani are the same person??? I'm having this doubt right now. Happy to know that your system is back to life! No clues for the new audio problem, but we will see if someone can help you better than me!

Thanks for your kindness, Os. It's much appreciated. Just wish I had more time to read all goodies here at TCC. But since I'm taking a break from posting screenies at POTD for awhile, I'll try to catch up here when possible. You always have a wealth of useful and interesting information here. cheers, ~m

Any help with that prob will be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a great day! ~m Thanks Meadowfae, I will check out Vibrant Morrowind, ...uh once I get my computer back together again. I am getting more and more impatient though I want to save some money first. I am glad you got XP back up and running and with all your MW files (don't want you to lose such a nice set of scenery). As for your sound, not sure. Since all you did was reinstall XP, I would think your BIOS is still the same as before. However, you may want to go into it to make sure your onboard sound is not on and that your sound option is set to utilize the card on the PCI connector (I think it should say something like "PCI" for the option). You may want to do a standard manual re-install of the card once more. If I recall you have to install the drivers, then set the BIOS to an external sound card and at the end install the card (kind of the same order as a wi-fi card). By possibly losing the drivers, you may have to do this all over again. If this does not work, you may have driver conflict between your old driver and new one if the old one got corrupted and is still somewhere in your drive. You may want to check with Creative on this since this sounds like one of their typical customer service issues. Tell them your system specs and what card you have and that you have no sound after repairing your XP. Finally, though I don't think you touched the motherboard, you can have some jumpers that are not connected well (if you have not touched your mobo, this cannot be the problem since it worked before). By the way, did you get the temp problem fixed? Just to make sure the CPU doesn't get damaged. Thanks for your kind words on the PC build thread. I am glad you like it. From my experience building systems, most of the time is best spent on the choosing of parts. If you choose your parts correctly, the build goes very smooth, if not, you can have headaches for a long time. The build part will only take like a day (two if it is your first time). I am almost finished on the buying part and can finally go to the building part (assuming it is ok to put photos on that thread ...Osiris is that ok?) and will use the photos I took when building my wife's rig to go over the build. Yeah get your son to build a PC. Once he becomes really good at it, he can fix your PC's at no cost. ;D ;D ;D If your son wants to make his first build go easier, he can join one of the hardware forums and ask about what he will put together. I have lurked many hardware forums and there are a great deal of information on those threads. One forum he may find useful since the people there are quite friendly (albeit a bit on the techno gonzo side) is Xoxideforums. Its the only hardware forum I am registered to (as Zenshi) and I like it since the people are pretty friendly there (not as friendly as here but hey you can only ask for so much) and they can give good advice. There are people many times more knowledged in that forum than me regarding PC building. Hope you get your sound fixed soon and look forward to more posts of MW shots.

Please remember to don't go too much off topic, guys...Ok, since as stated above i haven't any POTD stuff to link, i think that i can start to link to pictures by friends! Xeth - Ban seems to be much active at PES as well as at the official ES forum; and he has uploaded some nice Morrowind pictures. And of course, we must to rate his works! Here you go: Balmora Vivec Temple Pelagiad They shows classical locations; but who is bored to see the beautiful cities of Vvardenfell? Me not for sure!

Commented, and rated as usual. Lovely pictures, keep up the good work... Never thought to print some of them? Now, after Vivec, i would suggest you to try Tamriel Rebuilt (link is in my signature): definitely an excellent resource for who like us loves to take landscapes pics. By the way, I am going to post my first Tamriel Rebuilt batch in a special new thread here; just wait a little, since as every thing in my life even that thread is still work - in - progress...

Hi folks, following an advice by meadowfae I will post one of my favorite pictures here. And this is the description for this pic: This land is truly a land of wonders and strange beauty. You have to be here in Gnisis when the sun rises like an enormous fireball over the ashland! In the distant you can hear the hoarse cry of a cliff racer and as the sun advance the last shadows of the night disappears. A new day has begun. "Under the sun and the stars, I greet you warmly, outlander!" Sunrise in GnisisEnjoy! Franz
