Better if you could set up one of the existing NPCs in the home as a travel agent to recall wherever you and the guar are; otherwise, to create a whole new set of travel agents NPCs would make the things a bit abusive in my opinion... And if a player already runs VTA? How many agent would have in his game? Hum, maybe you could only suggest VTA as a mod to run together with yours, don't you think? And that would make things definitely simplier. Otherwise, if you want to start in study some scripting, have a look at Morrowind Scripting for Dummies if you don't have it.

Meadowfae, thanks again for looking at it one more time; and the slideshow was nice! Just wish I could pause it.... No problem Intrepid. I changed the style of both Suran House slideshows to a slower-moving film strip which you can just mouse-over to pause each picture. The picture does lighten a little when you pause it but it's still easy to see the details. NOTE: Be sure to click the 'Full Size' button. Hope that helps. cheers, ~m ------------------------------------------ Slideshow 1 - Home Sweet Suran HomeSlideshow 2 - Housewarming Party

Meadowfae: Thanks, that's really nice! Watching the slow-scrolling large size is just stunning! You really have a talent for screenshots. If the images will be there on Photobucket for a while, may I forward those two links to others? Thanks, Osiris -- I was just thinking of the simplest idea, like using an existing Home NPC or an extra one if really necessary. And just referring to the VTA mod if I needed scripting examples. But I've also been thinking that Obi is just a pet, doesn't fight unelss a player modifies him to do so. So the goals for Obi have been accomplished, thanks to everyone's help, and going further with transport would really be just overkill. It was a great suggestion to add that feature -- making Obi a companion. I think I'll do as you suggest, and just recommend the VTA mod prominently, since the VTA would be far handier for anyone who wants to really take Obi along a lot. The Home NPC's can already send both of you places the VTA agents can't, so that's an advantage, and then using VTA to come back to Suran would be easy. With that decided.... is this version really done, aside from editing the ReadMe a bit more? Sure seems like it! Uh oh, wait a sec -- you know what's needed? A little dialogue here and there. Really should have some modified greetings, adding a few little topics about Obi and the peaceful strider and so forth. That would really polish it up, don't you think? I haven't done dialogue aside from duplicating dialogue entries for Obi, so I'm familar with actually doing it. I'll take a look at a dialgue tutorial -- just want to make sure it's safe to simply edit and add dialogue at will on the Home NPC's?

Thanks for all your good modding work so even those without the expansion can enjoy a great home and companions. OMG - just remembered the first slideshow (it was filed differently so I forgot about it.) Put it in the slow filmstrip slideshow mode too: Obi's Swimming LessonOf course, you can share the links with anyone you like! The photos will stay for the foreseeable future. Seeing the pics full screen is even more fun - so let me know if you'd like, I can email the jpegs to you. cheers, ~m ps. the dialogue idea sounds good to me, if you have the time.

Added two more commands for Obi: "Stay out of fights, Obi...", and "Bite 'em, Obi!" Switches him in and out of helping with fights. Works great, too. It's just for a little more fun, since he can't do much since he's a pup. But he can kill a rat! [edit] I'm planning to put Stanley back in, along with Marley. I've added a room for them off of that back wall of the storeroom. Mattresses, a pool and waterfall to splash in, food dish, a trunk stocked with comberry, ash yam and kresh fiber. And of course there's a new guar cart out front of the Home, over by the crates/barrels.

I have permission from Emma to bundle VTA with the Home, so that'll be good. Obi, Marley, and Stanley, in all their odd glory. Obi is now a black guar -- little variety? Stanley's white, Marley's tan. Also, Marley is 0.5-scale, Obi is 0.55-scale and Stanley is 0.6-scale. Otherwise they're identical in attributes and behavior. You can bring all three along with you to explore -- they all stay out of fights by default, but you can simply tell each of them in dialogue to bite enemies and they'll all help out. It's all too awkward to have all three of them along, especially if you're going to have them come inside places with you. Most MW interiors are just too small, so you'll probably just tell them to stay outside. They'll wait and follow you again when you come back out. www.omashu.net/Elderscrolls/Intrepid/Morrowind/Home4/Obi-Marley-Stanley.jpg

This is still considered Beta, though I think all that's lacking is new custom dialogue for the NPC's. I've never done dialogue other than setting up the 'dialogue' for Obi, Marley and Stanley. But when I go look at the dialogue for the NPC's, I get a little nervous about going in there and changing things. Link to latest Home 4.1. www.omashu.net/Elderscrolls/Intrepid/Morrowind/Home4/Home%20in%20Suran%204.1.zip[edit] HEY, guess what? I fixed the hyper-wandering. I just added another section in the script so that, if the guar is in Wander mode, his speed is reset to 50 (standard speed). Then if you put him on follow again he switches back to the fast speed (1.85 times your speed). Works nice. (Hopefully you didn't download it too quickly.)

But won't play till later this evening - busy until then. Brief run through shows everything is working well. If you post another link - I'll dl it then. Thanks. ~m

That link is correct, but if you had downloaded it too quickly before my edit then just click it once more if you want the latest, with the hyper-wandering fixed. That's one of Murphy's Laws -- soon as you post a mod for download you'll probably need to make one more quick fix! The download is 1 MB now since including the black guar's NIF/texture, and the VTA files.

Thanks again - it will be fun to take Obi (or one of his brothers) along on fae's next adventure. Stay tuned... ;D ~m

Released the new 4.1 -- updated the original posting in this thread. I didn't add dialogue for the NPC's. I did make more alterations, like improving the pathgrid in front of the house, adding a couple more sizable mushrooms outside the Home and so forth. Download

This is such a great mod...thanks for all your work. So much fun. Even though I don't have the VTA - still took Marley and Stanley on a small romp near Pelagiad. What fun! Then it started to rain so they're bedded down in the South guard towers for the night. Brought a lot of guests up to the roof to help celebrate the release of Suran Home 4.1. (You can see some of them in the slideshow.) Everything worked fine and dandy! I'm so happy you made this a really unique and fun home - especially for my vanilla Fae. May the long time MW sun shine upon ye, Sir Intrepidacious! Super Kudos! ;D cheers, ~m =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Slideshow #4 - Rooftop party/Outing with Marley & Stanley

Glad you like it, Meadowfae! I'm glad I was able to come out with an improved version that also fixed the conflict issues the LAND edits were causing. was glad to find another color guar to include in the home. Whenever you can get one of the expansions installed, remember the VTA is bundled with your Home 4.1, so you can just check-mark whichever VTA is appropriate.
